Jenna Fischer's most well-known character was that of Pam Beesly from the popular TV show The Office. To honor the significance of her performance, she won an Emmy award for Best Actress in an Supporting Role. She also won two SAG Awards.
Her birthplace was Fort Wayne, Indiana, however, she grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna was a child who watched her mother Anne who was a church performer. This instilled in her a love for theatre.
After finishing The Office, Fischer, an actress trained in theater, returned to her origins. The Off-Broadway production of Reasons to Be Happy was written and directed Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. She then starred in Steve Martin's latest play Meteor Shower. It was an absurd comedy piece starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg and ran for record breaking time at Old Globe Theatre.
In October 2019, Fischer and The Office cast-mate and real-life best friend Angela Kinsey launched the podcast Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. The podcast has since gained immense popularity, settling on the Top Ten globally every week and registering more than 200 million downloads in the first two years. The podcast premiered in January of 2021. Office Ladies won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Year award.
She's also the co-author for Office BFF's Tales of The Office The Story of Two Best Friends there. The memoir deals with their relationship and working together in the production of The Office.
